Join us for a new Christmas adventure! The Delmont Pilgrimage Junior is a family-fun event for pre-school and elementary aged children. This interactive journey takes place in three festive locations. Private buses transport children and parents to each destination where they will experience the true meaning of Christmas while engaging in faith-filled activities.

Join us for a brand new Christmas adventure in 2023! The Delmont Pilgrimage Junior is a family-fun event for pre-school and elementary aged children. This interactive journey takes place in three festive locations. Private buses transport children and parents to each destination where they will experience the true meaning of Christmas while engaging in faith-filled activities.

This event is designed to present the Christmas story to children

in an engaging way.

1. Ticket holders will load buses on Saturday, December 02, at the Delmont Presbyterian Church (101 Church Street Delmont, PA) starting at 1:30pm. Buses will depart promptly at 1:45pm. Note: There will not be room for strollers.

2. The three buses will go to three different locations. Each group has its own bus that will wait until the group finishes the activity.

The following stops will be about 30 minutes long:

a. Shields Farm: The angel Gabriel will lead a bus group over the ¼ mile outdoor walk to experience the eight scenes that culminate in the birth of Jesus. The difference between this walk and the traditional nighttime Pilgrimage is that there will be talking by the characters (Gabriel, Mary, Joseph, shepherds, Wise Men) and also by people in the group who will be encouraged to ask questions.

Character dialog will be geared to children of about 10 years old and under.

b. Trinity Church: The interactive Mary, Joseph, and live donkey scene will provide a perfect photo op. There will also be kid-friendly food and other items for purchase. Restrooms are available.

c. Delmont Library: Children will enjoy Christmas related activities and crafts provided by Cornerstone Ministries. The C-Kid’s Team from Cornerstone Ministries will lead families through an adventure at the Delmont Library. Kids will have the opportunity to play fun, Christmas-themed games with prizes and create a unique craft that will remind them that “Jesus is the reason for the season.”

Restrooms are available at the library.

4. Pilgrimage Junior will end shortly after 4:00pm. The buses will then all return to the Presbyterian church parking lot.
